The transition from middle school to high school is the focus of the eighth grade year. Academic and social issues pertinent to this change are addressed in the curriculum and through the Advisor/Advisee program. Students are encouraged to take more responsibility for their learning as the year progresses and to advocate for themselves when they need help. Students earn
grades from a
combination of projects, tests, class participation, and performance
