EARLY AMERICAN SONG AND DANCE

Goodwin School grades 1 through 4 presented an evening of early American song and dance. Under the direction of Mrs. Anger, Mr. Dean, Mrs. Fox and Ms. Stebbins, the audience was treated to such favorite songs as "Shoo, Fly," "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain," "Red River Valley," and "Old Texas," and favorite dances such as the square dance and the polka.

Serving as a back drop for the performance, were quilts created by Goodwin students. Under the creative guidance of Martha Sielman, master quilter and Goodwin's artist-in-residence, every student in Goodwin had the opportunity to learn about and make his or her own quilt. The quilts will be treasured always!
